*Birthday dinner in November!!! Excellent food and drinks! Wonderful service! I had the duck over sweet potatoes with maple glazed Brussels sprouts, hubby had the steak special with blue cheese crumbles. Espresso martinis - decadent! Salted caramel cheesecake for dessert! We live about 35 minutes away but it is definitely worth the drive! Love this place! Be sure to make reservations as this place fills up very quickly at dinner time! Also, be prepared to spend a bit more! It's pricey but very much worth it! Espresso martini $14 each! *

Decided to give this place a try instead of Lanzi's or Timeless and I regret it.

Short staffed they said so service was really slow, the waitress was nice but slow so maybe serving isn't the right field for her since she dropped someone's salad and she dropped my cake which was in a closed container.

Food was eh. Chicken teriyaki with rice and veggies is what I had and the chicken was chewy, rice didn't seem steamed as said on the menu.
Husband has filet mignon and he said it was alright.

Tables are a little on the small side. Not a whole lot of seating.
Really expensive. For 2 people, 2 dinners, 2 appetizers and 4 sodas (one of which my husband didn't even ask for) it was $116 Dollars and they charge you $5 dollars to use a debit card...
Definitely won't be dining there again.

Was there last night for dinner .. very good and the owner and his wife was super friendly. In my opinion, this is better than the next door restaurant. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely ambiance and server. Apps were great (Asian salad, Buffalo wings and coconut shrimp). Unfortunately the entrees left alot to be desired. Flank steak that ordered rare came out medium well. Rib eye that was ordered are our raw inside and pasta had a great texture and taste but was soaked in olive oil. Hoping the kinks get worked out in the kitchen because it has a lot of potential.

I am a local to the Mayfield/Northville area, and The Local Five & Dine is one of the best restaurants around. I go often. The food is always excellent! The service is always excellent! The atmosphere is exquisite. The kitchen is immaculate and kitchen staff are all professionals. The owners are a happy couple who remember your name and are always there to greet you. If you haven't been and are looking for a great meal made from scratch, look no further! OH, and check out the Country's oldest remaining 5 & Dime store located next door while you're there, lots of cool stuff within!
