Stewart's Shops - Northville, New York

The store gets busy during the summer is all. It looks like a tough place to manage. Staff are as friendly as one would expect. As a local, many of them recognize me. Don't expect 5-star cuisine. It is a gas station after all. But exceeds expectations from my point of view. They keep the place clean which is hard to do with the summer traffic.

Accomplished Remedy

Nice to see this quiet little mountain town had gotten a new store. My first time there in years. Clean and lots of goodies.

My Brother & I were on a road trip up north (Adirondacks) and having a nice time, until we arrived at the Northville Stewarts. Talk about rude! I have been in Retail & Retail Management for about 40 years now, and if one of my employees had talked to a customer like this lady did (name might have been 'Lisa', as it was the name on the receipt), she would have been sent home and her hours reduced for at least for the next two weeks! My brother had gotten the mac & cheese, and I the meatballs. There were only two meatballs left in the pot (around 12:33 pm, lunch time), and I mentioned this to "Lisa", as I would have loved to have purchased more (for a fulfilling lunch). When I mentioned this to her, her only response was a snarky, rude "Yup". Now the customer service manager inside of me thought she could have said "Oh, I am sorry, let me put out some more (since it WAS lunchtime)", or even, "I'm so sorry, we ran out because of x-y-z"...
With the attitude, and frowning (no smile, no polite words) we had received from this particular individual, who obviously did not like her job, nor does she want to keep it, we will not be coming back to this particular Stewart's location ever again. The next time we drive about 140-150 miles up north on a day trip, we will skip the Northville Stewarts altogether, maybe even going somewhere else that isn't a Stewart's, where we KNOW we can get better Customer Service than we received today!

I stopped in to pick up a few items and was really put off by how rude the lady behind the counter was. Stopping transactions with customers to yell at kids about grabbing a pack of crackers to go with their soup they just purchased, then telling them to get out of the store if they aren't going to buy anything (even though they just did apparently)
I'll be avoiding this location in the future. Customer service jobs should require someone to learn to keep their attitude in check, even with problematic customers. The way she addressed the children in the store was a disgrace. I hope the manager addresses this before they lose customers over an unnecessarily rude employee.

I've complained before. For a newer Stewart's this place is horrid! The floors are always covered in trash, the outside entrance is truly disgusting. The last straw? Took out of town friends in for ice cream.
1. Dirty floor
2. Tabletop covered with crumbs, debris and a glop of sticky red goop.
3. Friends commented on the frostiness of our servers who were downright sullen. Granted they WERE fast (which was surprising.

The manager needs to either do their job or LEAVE.

They took 25 mins to help me. I ordered a large milkshake and it came half full. I asked for them to fill it yet they refused. The milk shake was chuncks of ice cream and watery milk. There was also flys in the store.
