An amazing community for seniors that are independent and want to have a fun and carefree retirement! Wendy and her staff at Silver Elm take good care of the residents and the apartments are spacious and beautiful! There are many activities planned daily and meals are provided in the dining room every day. They also have weekly housekeeping! What more can you ask for?

I have lived here for 3 years now. In that time I have had no air conditioner for months on end and no water for weeks at a time. Of course I’m without air in the summer. I have found a new place to go but they are making me pay a full 2 months rent to get out of my lease. This does NOT seem right considering they have NOT provided me with simple conveniences. The walls are thin and I can hear my neighbor snore which keeps me awake. If you are considering this place, please do not. You will be sorry. There are better options.

If I could give negative stars, I certainly would. The new management is awful and should be charged with elderly abuse. They are ripping off theses residents with the horrible food they are calling "professional cooked". I would love for the owners to spend 1 week eating EVERY meal that these poor residents are being served. These residents are being charged for 3 FULL meals and then getting things like pimento sandwiches and chili dogs. Their idea of adding a vegetable is throwing a tomato on the plate, and they are certainly NOT providing healthy meals. All frozen and starchy foods. If these meals are considered "professionally prepared" as they clearly advertise on their website, they need to hire a new professional to prepare them. It's discussing what they are doing. Everyone needs to contact their State Representative for some assistance. Because no matter how you want to look at it, they are taking advantage of these residents and ripping them off simply because they are elderly and they think they can.

The new management is horrible! The lady that is in charge is the rudest person! I wouldn’t let any of my relatives live in this place as long as she is in charge! The facility is very nice…but as long as they have that lady in charge it’s going to go downhill fast!!!! I feel sorry for the people that live there that don’t have relatives to check on them or make sure they are ok! Cause I’m sure if she treats an outsider horrible I can only imagine how she treats the people living there or the coworkers! I’m so glad we have chosen a different facility!!! The lady that we spoke with was name Wendy.
