First rate Indian Restaurant with an already excellent reputation - it did not disappoint.
The service was very prompt despite being a busy Saturday night.
Sampled a Lamb Bhuna and a Lamb Madras. The meat was really tender and beautifully cooked. The Madras was genuinely hot! ?
Will be visiting again when I am in the Stockport area.

We booked at this restaurant mainly due to the positive reviews and it is now clear to me that "reviews" can be extremely misleading. The service is poor in the extreme, our waiter couldn't even bring himself to actually speak to us and the food is generic and terribly average. Even though three in our party had different dishes the chicken within the meals was exactly the same. I can only imagine they have a huge bowl of precooked chicken which must then be added to various sauces. There is nothing at all authentic about the food in this restaurant, our good friends are Asian and cook regularly for us and there is a word of difference between the two. All in our party stated they would not return and I for one will not be recommending this restaurant especially in view of the extortionate price.

I’m sorry but after tonight’s meal I really feel I need to leave an honest review.
We’ve been a couple of times recently and sometimes the service and food is ok, enjoyable but nothing wow. Tonight we were celebrating a very special occasion and just wished we didn’t have it at the lime lounge. Food was rushed. My thali was tasteless. Beer was flat like it has been the last few times we’ve been, but what really got me was the fact that the staff seemed put out that we were there. The bill came to over £300 and we left over an 10% tip and as jay took the money we didn’t get so much of a thank you! Just rude!! As we all left not one member of staff said bye or thank you on the way out. You had some very loyal customers come in tonight for the last time.

Constancy is the key to your favourite local restaurant and the Lime Lounge is truly the most consistently great place to eat in this area. (For Indian food) highly recommended ?

Very poor service could not be bothered to come round the table & pick up our finished plates. They got us to pass the plates to the end of the table. Also waiters that didn't want us to be there. The up side was the food was really nice. Will not be going back as there are plenty of places doing good food.

Nice food, with friendly staff with a reasonably priced menu, quite small inside, with tables close to each other, quite tight for couples with babies & prams
