I was so sick with worry after reading all these reviews! I was applying for a D-2-6 visa to study abroad in Korea and couldn't submit my passport till very late due to being away on holiday. After reading all the negative reviews I was sure my visa would never arrive on time!
I am happy to say that after I submitted it, my visa and passport were approved and sent back in just 10 days!! So to any future exchange students, hopefully this eases your anxiety a bit! My biggest tip is 100% make sure you submit ALL required documents fully completed to avoid delays. Also send your payment 2-3 days before sending your actual visa off!

The best experience I have had with any VISA, I Was able to get my visa back within just 2 working days. I had one missing document which I sent the morning of the 1st day. I Applied for a H1. Don't worry about all the bad reviews if you have all the documents you'll be fine 🙂

I did two C-3 visas in 2024. Both visas took one week to make. There were a couple of hiccups from my side but they were handled gracefully. They are very peculiar about the documents but if you supply the correct documents the process is very fast. Please read the visa requirements carefully and google Filipino and Indian websites where they explain the documents - do what they recommend and everything will be fine.

1st time round, i had applied for my visa 1 month before flight date and didn't hear back until 2 days before we were supposed to leave requesting further documents. We ended up cancelling our trip due to visa not arriving on time.
2nd time round we applied 3 months in advance to avoid delays. They emailed me back 2weeks later asking for further documents which i submitted. We received our visa 7 days after i sent the last email to them.
I am about to apply for the third time now with my trip planned for August so hopefully it goes well again.

Update: I sent my application for my trip planned for august and my visa was approved in less than a week!! My top tip is to make sure you submit ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS together so that you don't have to go back and forth with them as this does delay your visa

Visa type C-3-9

Like others, I was very apprehensive about applying given the awful reviews but you have no choice if you want a visa for Korea!

However, I paid the fees on a Friday, sent the documents on Saturday, they were signed for on Monday at 2pm, I then received visa grant and passport back on Friday. A 1 week turnaround is the quickest tourist visa I've ever received.

Now, the website is not the easiest to follow with respect to what is actually needed for a visa. I had several tabs open and spent a good few hours triple checking all the links to make sure I didn't miss anything. Clearly this paid off as I wasn't missing any documents.

Communication was just one automated email response to the payment receipt and an email to say visa was approved. Website is pretty clear they won't email you unless documents are incorrect or payment not correct. This does make you a bit uncertain - are they even processing it etc. No email to let you know it's in processing or to check the application portal link, which I feel is a missing part of the service (hence only 4 stars).

I was hesitant to apply because of the reviews. However, South Korea is one of my dream country, so I proceeded. After following instructions online and sending all required documents, I got my tourist visa in just 10 days!! I also called the embassy a couple of times to make sure that I am doing the right thing, and they were always there to guide me.
