We had the most amazing 3 weeks at Bella Vista and are still missing those spectacular views 10 days later.
Linda was exceptionally helpful from the point of booking through to the completion of our holiday.
The house is beautiful and extremely well equipped. Beds very comfortable, including the sofa bed. There is not a poor bedroom which is unusual. All very comfortable with great showers in each. We didn’t spend much time indoors as the outdoor areas are fabulous. Various terraces and always possible to find shade somewhere.
We had a cross-section of ages from 5 months to 78 years and everyone loved the house, garden, pool and views.
We have stayed at around 15 houses in the Gaucin area over the years. Most have been lovely but needed a bit of TLC. Poorly equipped, fridges not cold enough etc. Villa Bella Vista is completely up to speed and everything works. There is even an ice machine in the freezer.
The big question: Would we return?
A huge YES. We booked for next year before leaving. This will be the first time we have ever returned to a rental property. Villa Bella Vista really is a very special place.

Het was heel fijn om een week in de villa te verblijven.
We hebben intens genoten van de vele luxe die de villa te bieden heeft. De vele zithoekjes en terrasjes op allerlei niveaus bieden mooie uitzichten over het landschap. En niet te vergeten het zwembad met de ligbedden en de buitenbar die het plaatje compleet maken. We hadden een top week!

This is a beautiful villa in a stunning location.
The main problem is the lack of air conditioning- the property manager worked really hard to get us a portable unit for one of the bedrooms - and we hugely grateful. The outside temperatures do drop at night but we were reluctant to open windows due to mosquitoes - maybe mesh on the windows might work.
If the air con were sorted, we would recommend this very properly very highly.

I’ve noted the owners response to my initial review so decided to be less gentle.
The villa (which we hired for around £5000 for a week) was not clearly advertised as being without air conditioning. On reviewing the listing on Oliver’s Travels, air con is not mentioned at all - in my naïveté I assumed that it was present in such a high end villa.
We are not snowflakes, but are used to British temperatures. The temperature in the bedrooms at night was over 30 degrees. The fans were noisy and so difficult to sleep with them on. The nights were an ordeal.
To be blunt, Brits should not rent this otherwise beautiful villa in the height of a Spanish summer. At other times, it would probably be great.

This was a wonderful stay! The property is in a spectacular location, beautifully maintained and equipped, and overall provides an unforgettable experience. The house manager Linda was an excellent communicator and most welcoming and helpful. We cannot recommend Bella Vista highly enough and would happily return any time.
